About the Couple
In 1993 Robin met her future husband, Lee May during their freshman year at Clark Atlanta University.  Fast forward through many twists and turns to November 1999 when Lee decided to propose to Robin.  After saying yes, Robin began to prepare for her upcoming nuptials.  But low and behold, what happens?  Yes, more of the ups and downs…to make a very long story short, the wedding is called off and the couple has to reevaluate their future together.

During their time apart both Robin & Lee learned what it meant to truly love God and ultimately love themselves.  They both matured individually, sought God individually and finally in 2002 the couple said “I Do” before a couple of hundred friends and family…but not without having learned some very valuable lessons on what it really takes to build a healthy relationship prior to marriage.

The couple has now been married for seven years and are dedicated to helping others avoid many of the pitfalls they found themselves in.  The couple serves as pre-marital counselors at New Birth and for over five years have taught a class entitled "Getting to Know You".  The purpose of the class is to help couples and individuals learn how to build healthy dating relationships prior to marriage.  The couple has a shared calling from God to be advocates for those in need (Proverbs 31:8-9) that they express in individual ways.  Robin’s counseling education and Lee’s divinity degree serve as a unique and effective blend for the couple’s life pursuits.  Realizing that as the family goes, so goes the neighborhood, city, state and ultimately the world, the May’s desire to be influential in helping others develop solid relationships thus affecting the world for generations to come.
